Welcome to the Home of Chicago Bears Wheelchair Rugby! Wheelchair Rugby (aka Murderball or Quad Rugby) is a full-contact team sport that combines the concepts of the gameplay of basketball, hockey and handball with the physical nature of rugby. The sport was invented by athletes with quadriplegia to create an intense, hard-hitting, competitive game for individuals with impairments in all four limbs (spinal cord injury, cerebral palsy, amputation, muscular dystrophy, polio or any other neurologic diagnosis). Wheelchair Rugby is played on the local, national and international level, as a Paralympic Sport. The Chicago Bears are members of the United States Quad Rugby Association (USQRA) and are the only wheelchair rugby team in Chicago.
